Captain Don’s Whisky

Captain Don’s Whisky is a tribute to a legend.  It’s a also milestone in whisky history.

The first Caribbean whisky, crafted right here on Bonaire.

Inspired by the adventurous spirit of Captain Don Stewart, the founder of Bonaire’s diving industry and a driving force behind the Bonaire Marine Park, this whisky dares to break traditions, just like the man it honors.

At The Cadushy Distillery, we took the best traditions from the great whisky regions of the world and created something entirely new: a true Creole Whisky.

Our mash bill combines rye, corn, and sorghum, bringing boldness, sweetness, and earthy depth together. To add even more character, we smoke the sorghum with peat adding a gentle smokiness unique to the Caribbean Whisky.

Captain Don’s Whisky is then aged in French oak barrels, enriched with Cuban tobacco leaves placed inside the cask, giving the whisky extra warmth, complexity, and a rebellious hint of the tropics.

The result is a whisky that is smooth yet bold, layered with notes of oak, spice, light smoke, and the earthy richness of the Caribbean.
